OUR GLOGSTER PROJECT:1984 GEARGE ORWELL

   This week we learnt about the glogster.Thanks to the glogster,we can prepare online posters and share them with our friends.Our teacher wanted us to read the summary of the amazing book 1984 written by George Orwell.We read the summary and watched a video about it.You can watch the video by clicking here.After we learnt about the book, we prepared a propaganda poster about the Party that rules the Oceania in the book.

I really like this project.Because I really like the book.I want to read it in the summer holiday.(If I wasn't busy,I would read it now.:( ) I think it is a creative and enjoyable project.We had so much fun while making it.Glogster is really great.I want to make posters about everything.It is very fun to prepare posters.You should give it a try.What I want to say is the book is great,the glogster is great and the project is great.I am so happy to involve in it.Thank you :))

THE INTERVIEW WITH ANNE HATHAWAY

    Hello everybody, I am going to talk about the interview that John Wilson made with lovely Anne Hathaway. You can click  here   to listen it yourself.

     Interviewer John Wilson is talking with Anne Hathaway about her new movie Love and Other Drugs and her new project about the life of Judie Garland. He begins with a brief explanation of her new movie and then first question comes. He asked her to talk about the on screen relationship with her character Maggie and handsome Jake Gyllanhall’s character Jamie. She explains it by saying ‘’People meet each other and hate each other but Jamie and Maggie don’t care of it. They are more interested in physical relationship. ‘’ Then he begins to talk about her role in the movie. In the movie, she plays 26 year-old girl who has Parkinson. He says her character seems crippling not just by the disease but by the unwillingness to let anybody in and he wants her to comment on it. She says that ‘’Maggie is young and sick, she has particular situation, she is an artist. She’s got no money, no savings, and no insurance.’’ She also adds something which is really impressed me. ‘’ I am really interested in exploring the anxicity of being sick.’’

       He wants to know how she prepared to her role. She made a lot of preparation to her role. She met with the people who have Parkinson and she also met with the neurologists. She read about the Parkinson disease. She also read two books of Michael J. Fox who has Parkinson. She said his books were wonderful. After she finishes, he asked another question but she finds it funny, interrupts him by laughing. The question is about her role choice.  She says she wants to go with the best works and best directors. Then he asks another question but again, she interrupts him by her laughter. The question is about the nudity that the movie includes. She is sincere while answering the question.’’ In the movie two people reveals a lot about themselves. Psychological revolution takes more time. It represented two people’s experiences of love.

   He also wants her to talk about self medicating that the movie includes. She answers that her character Maggie was self medicating with sex, alcohol, marijuana as an avoidance strategy. Then another question comes. The question makes her laugh. He also laughs while asking it. It’s about her crying. He compares her crying to another actresses’ crying. He finds her crying so real. She said this is what her face does while crying and she finds the other actresses lucky because their faces don’t puff up while they are crying. Then both of them laugh at this. Then she begins to talk about her new project. Her new project is about the life of Judie Garland. She says they take their times and it’s a slow process. As a final question, he asks ‘’Do you sing in your new project.’’ She answers it by saying “I certainly don't sing like Judy Garland but the talk is to have me do the singing .But I think people might cry murder if they don't get to hear Judy's beloved voice so the talk is for me to sing but I don't know if that's exactly what will happen." He finishes the interview with saying her new film’s opening day.

    If I were the interviewer’s shoes, I would ask to her ‘’ What is your secret behind your amazing smile?’’ I think she’s got really great smile. My second question would be ‘’Do you have any obsessions, if you have, what are they? I would ask it because I think everyone has obsessions and I am curious about the celebrities’ obsessions. I would end the interview with taking a photo with her.

The Butterfly and The Squirrel:MY FIRST FABLE

This week we've learnt about Webquests. According to our internet-based project, we wrote a fable.You can read our fable.
                                             
                                           THE SQUIRREL AND THE BUTTERFLY

         In a beautiful forest, a beautiful butterfly and a squirrel lived. They were really great friends. They did everything together. The Butterfly loved the squirrel so much. But the Squirrel wanted to have other friends.

      One day, Squirrel heard that Rabbit and Fox were going to have a party and invited all their friends. The Squirrel wanted to go to the party and said: ‘’Can I come to the party.’ The Rabbit: ‘We invited just our friends and you aren’t our friend.’ The Squirrel was sad. But the Fox had an idea and said:’’ If you bring us to the Butterfly’s rose, you can come to the party. We heard that it’s unique.’ Although he knew that the Butterfly loved his rose more than anything, he accepted their offer. Because, the squirrel wanted to be friends with the Rabbit and the Fox and others.

     The Squirrel sneaked into the Butterfly’s house to take the rose. While he was leaving the house, the Butterfly came and understood what was happening. She accepted to give the rose to the Squirrel.

    The Squirrel was so happy. He gave the rose to the Fox and the Rabbit. They took the rose and said him leave. They made fun of him. The Squirrel was sorry for what he did to the Butterfly. He went to her house, but she wasn’t there. She had left the forest. The Squirrel had to be alone.

MORAL OF THE FABLE: If you don’t know the value of your friends, you’ll be alone.
